Notes:
Hugh Maxwell Casson was one of the principal architects commissioned to design the street decorations and settings for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. This lot is comprised of three of his sketches for the route outlined in London. Of interest, "Cockspur Street Looking Towards Haymarket" shows Canada House on the right. The Royal Institute of British Architects has several similar sketches currently in their permanent collection. Please note each of the three sublots comes with a signed letter by the artist.
