Harvey Murchison was born and raised in Bigger, Saskatchewan. He studied commerce at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) then held a career with the provincial government in Regina. Upon retirement he turn his attention more seriously to art making, specializing in drawing, pastel and watercolour. He was a member of the Brushworks Art Guild (Regina) and served on the board of directors of the Rosemont Art Gallery (Regina).
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
