Harold Allanson has had a life-long interest in drawing and painting, but it was only after retiring from his job as a long haul trucker that he was fully able to indulge that interest. His work exhibits strong composition, with a focus on the effects of colour and light. His inspiration comes from his life experiences and people he's met, the west Coast of BC where he lives and the ranch lands of the interior where he grew up. Harold Allanson's works can be found in collections in Canada, US, Europe, and Australia.
