Gustavo Trujillo was born in Bogota, Colombia, and moved to the United States at the age of twenty-seven to study at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Trujillo remains based in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he creates depictions of his city in vibrant impasto paint.
