Donated and being sold on behalf of Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon, with this Saskatchewan charity receiving 90% of the winning bid
Notes:
Ghassan Jadid was born in 1946 in Tartous, Syria. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts, Damascus, in 1971, and since then has devoted much of his work to capturing the character of this ancient coastal city. Jadid's work has been presented in over 40 solo shows throughout Syria and in France, Germany, Lebanon and Tunisia. His work can be found in several important public collections including The Dubai Collection (United Arab Emirates). Ghassan Jadid continues to live and work in Tartous, Syria.
