GERDA GERDAGO (Austrian, 1906-2004)
A cold-painted bronze dancer figure with naturally carved hands and face, c. 1930. Dancer stands on single pointed foot with arm raised, in a blue and red enamelled costume. Mounted on a stepped green onyx square base. Signed Gerdago on the base, with Arthur Rubenstein foundry mark.
H. 33.5 cm (13 1/8 in) Condition Report Previous damage to the hand on the arm that is raised, broken at the wrist and has been repaired. Some minor wear to the paint, figure requires careful positioning as it is delicately balanced and prone to tipping.
