Notes:
Ken Howard in "The Artist Magazine," July, 1985 comments on Cuming's use of tone in his work: "Tone depends completely on how you pitch it. I haven't got natural tonal pitch and therefore I have to constantly restate my light, dark and half tones until I get the effect I want. Fred Cuming however, is a very fine tonal painter and I believe he is one of the few men I have met with perfect tonal pitch. I have watched him working, and once he has set down his first tone he adjusts every other tone to it - and it seems to be right from the word go"
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
