Francoise Delamare Papion was born in 1931 in Cherbourg, France and obtained her French B.A. in philosophy in 1948 and began studying fine arts in Nantes soon after. In 1972 she graduated from the Montreal Fine Arts Museum and studied ceramics before enrolling with the Ceramic Club of Pointe-Claire. Her favorite mediums are oil, pastel, watercolor, ceramics, etching. Her works can be found in important collections in Canada and elsewhere, as the Saidye Bronfman collection, Texaco Canada co. Montreal Symphonic orchestra, The Royal bank and 'Les femmes Peintres' at the former Musee Marc Aurele Fortin.
