Frank Wooton was born in Hampshire, England in 1914. He began attending art school at age fourteen, and was a war artist from 1939 and 1945, renowned for his aerial scenes especially. Many of these works hang in major aviation museums around the world. He was also a major equestrian artist and Vice-President of the UK's Society of Equestrian Artists. For his service during World War II, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1995. Frank Wooton died in 1998, in Sussex, England.
