In an antique gilt and plaster frame with nameplate inscribed 'Bousset'
Various hand written notes verso: 'F. Bossuet' and "Francois-Antoine (?)1889 Bruxelles", centre panel verso, and a remains of an old label, illegible, lower panel verso
Note: An artist of prolific output, It was not unusual for Bossuet to paint many versions of a single composition: another version of this composition titled "Travellers Resting, Morocco" was sold at Christie's London, 16 November 2006, lot 73.
