Joan Small’s collection features six paintings by Nova Scotia artists Maud and Everett Lewis. Small is from the Digby, Nova Scotia; her father owned a lumber mill and supply store in the area and frequently provided Maud Lewis with painting surfaces.
The paintings in this collection were acquired directly from Maud and Everett Lewis and passed by descent to Joan Small.
