Eva Lewarne is a Polish-born Canadian artist whose expressive figurative work explores themes of mystery, mortality, and the human condition. After earning a BA in Psychology and English from the University of Toronto, she studied Fine Art at OCAD. Her paintings—often portraying women in symbolic scenes with animals like ravens or flies—have been exhibited internationally, including at the Grand Palais and Chapelle de la Sorbonne in Paris. In 1992, she received a Gold Medal at a painting festival in Avignon. Her work has appeared in publications such as Art Market Magazine and Artist Portfolio Magazine.

Consignor proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, with significant donations also being made to the Canadian Opera Company, the Glenbow Museum, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Pelee Island Bird Observatory.
