Being sold on behalf of Grandmothers 4 Grandmothers Regina, with 90% of the hammer price going to the charity.
Notes:
Ernie Scoles was born in Cumberland House, Saskatchewan in 1962. He was raised in Northern Manitoba and is a member of the Barren Lands Indian Band. His love of nature and his Cree heritage is clearly expressed in his art. In 1992 Scoles was awarded the Governor General's Canada 125 Medal and in 2002 he was presented with the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee medal for his contributions to the art community. His work is held in private and public collections across Canada. He lives and works in Saskatoon.
