Ernest Alfred Dalton was born in Brixton, England in 1887 and immigrated to Canada in 1924 and settled in Toronto. He was one of the foremost Canadian landscape artists of his day, painting farmlands, buildings and landscapes of rural Ontario. Dalton exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy and he was an associate of the Ontario College of Art. His work is included many corporate and private collections across Canada.
