Elsa Kosola was born in Ylivieska, Finland in 1929. She and her family emigrated to Canada in 1957. She settled in Atikokan, Ontario, and was a longtime member of the Atikokan Arts & Crafts Association. Elsa Kosola dies in Atikokan in 2015.
