Acquired directly from the artist, c. 1940 by the vendor’s father, an employee of the Hudson’s Bay Company,

By descent to present owner.
Notes:
A beautifully constructed model igloo made almost entirely out of ivory, including the joints between the “snow blocks”. A window in the main body of the snow house reveals a family preparing a meal, the baby that is embraced by its mother is removable.
