The Pangnirtung weave shop experimented with various rug designs. This rug is based on Ekidluak's 1981 tapestry of the same name, but the two side panels have been added to the original tapestry design. The rug is termed the "Twentieth Anniversary Edition" in honour of the first Pangnirtung weaving experiments in 1969, but is fact a unique work. It is made in three panels using rug wool, with a weft face and discontinuous weft. It has never been used as a rug, however, and was in fact made with a sleeve for hanging on a wall.
