Edith Drysdale was born in 1925 in Calgary, Alberta. She studied at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg) and the the University of Alberta (Edmonton). She taught Home Economics to junior high school students in Edmonton for some years, then lives in Regina, Saskatchewan and other parts of Alberta before returning to Calgary in 1973. There she was an active member the Group Art Society of Calgary and the Calgary Sketch Club. Edith Drysdale died in 2013, in Calgary.
