Provenance:
Includes a copy of 1986 receipt from Craddock and Barnard (London UK). From the Gary Robertson Historical Print Collection (Regina). This image is also in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Notes:
Dorothy Edith G. Woollard was born in 1886 in Bristol, England, and studied at the Bristol School of Art. In 1913 she entered the Etching School of the Royal College of Art (London) studying with Frank Short. She became a note London-based artist, specializing in etchings of historic buildings, street scenes and landscapes. Dorothy Woollard died in 1986, in Cambridge, England.
