Dr. Donald Flather was a founding member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and served as its national treasurer. In his spare time, he pursued his passion for painting. Flather would have known Lawren Harris through his association with the Federation of Canadian Artists, and was clearly influenced by his work, as is evidenced by this fine painting.
