Includes a copy of the original 2016 receipt from Galerie Nguyen (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) in the amount of $1,655 USD. Donated and being sold on behalf of Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon, with this Saskatchewan charity receiving 90% of the winning bid.
Notes:
Doan Thuy Hanh was born in Vietnam in 1974. She graduated from the Hanoi Fine Art University with a specialty in lacquer painting. As one of very few contemporary female lacquer artists, she is widely acclaimed for her images of children. Her paintings have been exhibited throughout Vietnam, and in Singapore, Japan, France, United Arab Emirates, and can be found in collections around the world. Doan Thuy Hanh continues to live and work in Hanoi, Vietnam.
