Deborah Thoms was born on Ontario and raised in a Saskatchewan farming community. She has participated in many workshops to further her arty education: Arts and Ecology, University of Saskatchewan; Emma Lake Kenerdine Campus; University of Regina Fine Arts Program and University of Regina Extension. She has studied with artists Clint Hunker, Donna Kriekle and Degen Lindner. Thoms is best known for her vibrant fauvist landscape paintings.
