David Disbrowe was born in 1970, and is a Metis artist from Red Sucker Lake First Nation in Manitoba. Growing up, Dosbrowe spent much of his time on the land learning about the natural environment. He has said "In my culture we believe that all things are connected and in order for all life to exist harmoniously there must be a mutual respect and an order to things. We are all visitors on this earth, we must take care of what we have."
