Darwin Atcheynum is an indigenous artist from the Sweetgrass First Nation, a Cree First Nation near Battleford, Saskatchewan. He is renowned for his regalia designs and stone sculptures. Atcheynum works with a variety of stone, including alabaster, soap stone and African water-based stone which gets soaked in water and expands.
