From the Briercrest College Art Collection. 100% of the hammer price goes to the Briercrest College Scholarship Fund. This artwork has a 1998 certificate of appraisal with a fair market evaluation of $800.
Notes:
Daniel Corbeil was born in Val-d'Or, Quebec in 1960 and holds a Master's Degree in Visual Arts from Universite du Quebec a Montreal. He creates miniature models complete with industrial artifacts and natural scenery. The subsequent photographs of these scenarios seem to be real-life full scale landscapes but are in fact completely fictional. Beginning in 1990 his work has been exhibited in a number of solo and group shows in Canada and abroad.
