From the Briercrest College Art Collection. 100% of the hammer price goes to the Briercrest College Scholarship Fund. This artwork has a 1998 certificate of appraisal with a fair market evaluation of $1000.
Notes:
Courtney Milne was born in Saskatoon in 1943. In his career he took nearly half a million photos, particularly highlighting the beauty of the Canadian prairies and sacred locations around the world. He has presented slide shows of his work including prestigious events such as UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 1990 and the United Nations "Earth Summit" in Rio de Janiero in 1992. Though based in Saskatchewan Milne photographed in all 10 provinces of Canada as well as 35 other countries in all seven continents. Courtney Milne died in 2010.
