Lot description - from the online catalogue*
Provenance:
Donated by a Saskatoon collector, with 100% of the winning bid going to our two charity partners, Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum and the Black Excellence Scholarship at Sage Hill Writing.
Notes:
Claudine Audette-Rozon is a Fransaskois watercolour artist based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has exhibited widely in juried and solo shows throughout the province, and her work can be found in several public collections, including the Canada Council Art Bank, the Government of Saskatchewan, the Conseil culturel fransaskois, and the Federation des francophones de Saskatoon. In the 1980s Audette-Rozon was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and this changed her work drastically, especially from the side effects of the medication, which triggered hallucinations, often described in her later work.
