Chris Johns was born in 1951 in Medford, Oregon. He is a renowned nature photographer, and a past editor-in-chief of National Geographic magazine. Among Chris JohnsâÀ many books of photography are Valley of Life - AfricaâÀs Great Rift (1991), Wild at Heart - Man and Beast in Southern Africa (with a foreword by Nelson Mandela, 2002) and Face to Face with Cheetahs (2008). Chris Johns lives in Virginia, USA.
