Carol Wylie was born in 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) in 1996, and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2013. Wylie has engaged in a twenty-five year painting practice, exclusively working with portraiture and figuration. Her work has been exhibited at many public art galleries throughout Canada, including Art Gallery of Regina, Mann Art Gallery (Prince Albert SK), North Vancouver Arts Council, and St. Thomas Moore Gallery (Vermont), Carol Wylie resides in Saskatoon, SK where she works as Learning and Engagement Coordinator at Remai Modern Art Museum of Saskatchewan, and is a member of the Studio on 20th artist cooperative.
