Lot description - from the online catalogue*
Carey Shaw is a Saskatoon based photographer with over 20 years of experience creating images. She has a BFA from the Alberta College of Art & Design (Calgary), and has been been an Artist in Residence with the Saskatchewan Arts Board and community arts educator and artistic coordinator with the MacKenzie Art Gallery and Common Weal Community Arts. Shaw has taught photography and traditional darkroom practices with PAVED Arts, University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) and Regina Continuing Education and the City of Regina. She has also been a broad member of BlackFlash Magazine. Shaw was nominated for a 2020 JUNO Award for Album Artwork of the Year, among other accolades.
