Being sold on behalf of Indigenous Christian Fellowship, with 90% of the winning bid going to this Saskatchewan charity.
Notes:
Betty Joe was born in 1967 in Duncan, British Columbia, of Cowichan/Kwakwaka'wakw heritage. She takes the Sea Wolf as her family crest, and has strong relations to the Coast Salish. She learned to carve under her uncle, artist Simon Charlie, and has been carving for over twenty years, specializing in masks, using alder, cedar and pine.
Being sold on behalf of Indigenous Christian Fellowship, with 90% of the winning bid going to this Saskatchewan charity.
