Barry Burdeny began his art studies at Brandon University in 1965, before transferring to the Ontario College of Art in 1969. In 1971 he was awarded the Brooke Bond Scholarship to study at the Slate School of London in the United Kingdom. Burdeny has painted impressionistic and abstract interpretations of his surroundings for the past forty-five years. He utilizes techniques employing brush or palette knife work, creating subtle gradations of colour or heavy impasto palette knife texture, depending on the scene or the mood he wishes to evoke. He uses strong colour in his handling of light and shadow. Barry Burdeny’s works can be found in private and corporate collections in North America and Europe.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
