Anton (Tony) Akkerman was born in Holland in 1927. He completed an art diploma in Holland before emigrating to Canada in 1957. He first settled in Northern Quebec, then after nine years moved to the Niagara Region in southern Ontario. He pursued his art making while also working as a draftsman for many years, and taught art at Niagara College. Anton Akkerman died in 2010, at the age of 83.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
