On verso is an inscription on the Galerie Walter Klinkhoff Inc. label by Eric Klinkhoff: "Antoine Prévost spent a month this summer in PEI where he was inspired to paint 'French Harbour' by a harbour of that same name. There was apparently a whole string of spots with French names dating back to the Pre-Conquest days."
