Lot description - from the online catalogue*

Inuit women have had a long tradition of preparing and sewing skins for garments. These skills have been kept alive through the creativity of textile art. Caroline Napartuk, Mina Napartuk, Malaya Crow and Annie Niviaxie often collaborated on these large scale works. There are some particularly wonderful details on this wall hanging, including the expressive human faces, the pink stitched tongues of the dogs, bears and foxes and a very detailed interior camp scene.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
