Notes:
André Ethier is a multifaceted Canadian artist known for his evocative contributions to both visual art and music. He began his artistic journey at the Etobicoke School of the Arts and later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in 2001. Ethier's paintings are characterized by their surreal, mystical, and fantastically grotesque qualities. Influenced by neo-expressionism, primitive art, underground comics, and the works of artists like Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Odilon Redon, his oil paintings often feature hybrid, folk-like fantasy scenes, still lifes, and portraits.

Consignor proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, with significant donations also being made to the Canadian Opera Company, the Glenbow Museum, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Pelee Island Bird Observatory.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
