Includes a copy of 1985 receipt from Craddock and Barnard (London UK). From the Gary Robertson Historical Print Collection (Regina). This image is also in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), National Galleries of Scotland, Aberdeen Galleries and Museums (Scotland) and the British Museum (London).
Notes:
Andrew Geddes was born in 1783 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He studied at the University of Edinburgh, and worked as a clerk in the city until his father's death, after which he moved to London to pursue a career in art, which his father had opposed. From 1806 Geddes was a frequent contributor to the Royal Academy exhibitions. Geddes died in 1844, in London.
