Notes:
Andreas Drenters has an eye for the expressive function of lines and an intuitive understanding of the way they interact in space. "Triple BalanceÁ and "Balance #2Á are strong, linear compositions when viewed in their static position but come to life when activated by a viewer or by the wind (most of his sculptures are ideally situated outdoors). Drenters' welded open-form circles, triangles and rectangles comprise these perfectly balanced kinetic sculptures; the lines rigid and commanding yet fluid and playful when set into motion.

Born into a family of inventors and sculptors and surrounded by the materials of his trade on the family farm, Drenters was inspired at a young age to create for the simple pleasure of doing so. He has been creating whimsical, dynamic sculptures for many years at his home and studio at the Rockwood Academy in Ontario. "I love coming through that door every morning to see what I can create today. It gives me so much joy." Drenters was inducted into the Sculpture Society of Canada in 1965.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
