As her interest in her Metis background grew, she began to focus on leather crafts. Demand for her work increased and Yvette's hobby became her full-time career. She expanded her knowledge and expertise to other traditional forms of work. Today, in addition to bead work and leather-craft, she also does caribou hair tufting, quill work and birch bark biting.
