Wayne Puqiqnak is an Inuit artist from Gjoa Haven, Nunavut. He is the third generation of carvers in his family and has been heavily influenced by the work of his father and grandfather. He works in the classic 'grotesque' form of his region, Kitikmeot, which is characterized by gaping mouths, full of crooked teeth, and wild staring eyes.
