Valeriano Trubbiani is an Italian sculptor, artist and engraver. In 1956 he graduated from the Art Institute of Macerata and moved to Rome to study at the Academy of Fine Arts. On return to Macerata he began to create metal sculptures using pre-existing elements that he disassembled and combined with found objects. His work combined these different elements (objects, machines, mechanical parts, human and animal figures) in a way that gives rise to very theatrical compositions that often played on the contrast between the sublime and the horrible.
