Thomas Sivuraq (previously Thomas Sevoga) was born in 1941 in Baker Lake, Nunavut. In 1965 he attended the early graphic design workshop in Baker Lake, and began making stonecut and lithograph prints, as well as stone carvings. His prints have appeared in many publications including Baker Lake Print Collections #74, #75 and #76 and Baker Lake Prints and Print Drawings (1983), and have been widely exhibited including at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Five Continents Museum (Munich), Art Gallery of Hamilton and Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto).
