Ted Hansen's artist statement: I discovered a love of art quite by chance over twenty years ago when the history class I intended to take at the U of S was full so I enrolled instead in a sculpture class taught by well known local artist Bill Epp."I have been active as an artist ever since. Although I had done some painting in acrylics at university, I had been working primarily as a sculptor in clay and bronze when I first joined Jean Williams' Montgomery watercolour group." The other major influence in my painting career has been Lloydminster artist Graham Flatt."I have been attending his watercolour workshops regularly for years and continue to be impressed by the wealth of knowledge he has to share.
