Saskatchewan NAC Auction House Biography and Notes
Takemi Azumaya is a Japanese printer. He was a professor at Tokyo University of the Arts. His work's primary materials are ice and water. In the changing process - from ice to water , and from water to ice, the shape of the water which is dissolved from the solid state is the root of his artistic expression. He puts the constantly changing nature of water in the form of a fixed version, then transfers them to the paper, and keeps repeating the same behavior.
