Samuel Tepler was an Israeli painter born in 1918 in Poland. His works reflected the artist's poetic soul in architectural composition of modest dimensions and moderate colours. He had the ability to create a "pure" abstract and yet stay in touch with the painted subject. The feeling for planned and balanced composition stems from classical tradition; the intense and bold color scheme stems from "Fauve" tradition and from expressionism, though a moderate one. His paintings have been exhibited in high-profile international galleries around the world, including Italy, Israel, France, Germany, Monaco, Austria, Netherlands, Japan, and Nepal.
