SKNAC Bio: Rowan Pantel grew up near the hamlet of Gronlid, Saskatchewan. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, 2008) and a Master of Fine Arts in Intermedia at the University of Regina (2014) and has trained internationally in the art of Puppetry. Pantel has been an art instructor at both the University of Regina and at University of Saskatchewan, and has provided workshops on Puppetry multiple Saskatchewan communities. Rowan Pantel is a Visual Artist, Puppeteer, and Designer. She holds a a Master of Fine Arts in Intermedia from the University of Regina, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Saskatchewan. For Puppetry she has trained with the Old Trout Puppet Workshop at the Banff Centre, and at the Eugene O'Neill Puppetry Conference in Connecticut. She works with a variety of media including, printmaking, puppetry, drawing, photography, installation, painting, and film. She is the Festival Coordinator for the International Puppet Underground Festival, has held instructing positions at both the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, and she also works with a variety of community organizations delivery arts programming around the province. Rowan Pantel lives and works in Regina, Saskatchewan.
