Ron Finch was born in Hamilton, Ontario, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He attended university in Canada and the US on football scholarships, and played two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. But a knee injury ended his football career, and it was during recovery that he took up painting. Working mostly in watercolours, Finch shows his work through galleries in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Ron Finch currently lives and works in Kelowna, British Columbia.
