Toronto-based contemporary artist Romas Astrauskas practices in a wide range of media, from sculpture, painting and installation art. His early works were Pop-inspired paintings of music icons from the 1960s and 70s, including Keith Richards and Marc Bolan. Astrauskas received significant commercial success for these works; however, the artist always sought to evolve and experiment with his style. His more recent works include minimalist sculptures and assemblages, as well as calming landscapes and interior scenes. Astrauskas' work has recently appeared in solo and group exhibitions at Galerie Youn in Montreal and No Foundation in Toronto.
