Roger Savage was born in Ontario in 1941 and graduated with a BFA from Mount Allison University in 1963. He eventually moved to Liverpool N.S. where he paints full-time and runs the Savage Gallery. He has always felt inspired to capture the "light and shadow of nature". His work has been exhibited around the world and has been featured on two commemorative gold coins.
