Regina Seib was born in a village in East Germany and immigrated to Canada at age seven with her mother and grandmother, eventually settling in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. While devoted to art making at an early age, Seib trained as a nurse at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon). As time permitted, she attended workshops and art classes at the University of Saskatchewan and with artists like Brian Atyeo, Jerry Heine, Jack Reid, Teresa Posniak and Doris McCarthy. Since 2000 Seib has been a full time artist, and in 2009 she earned her AFCA with the Federation of Canadian Artists. Regina Seib currently lives and works in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
